I enjoy combining faith and creativity.

I love that our God is not silent. The Holy Spirit speaks to us in many ways, including through his word, his creation and through his people. As Creator-God who made us in his image, he has given us the ability to create and to worship him and give him glory through creative avenues, such as music, writing, dance, and pictures. Sometimes the Holy Spirit gives me a picture inspired by worship, prayer, a sermon, a conversation with a friend, a personal experience, or a verse.

I love that not only does the God of the universe see each one of us, but he also knows us each by name and loves us! He calls us to walk with him through the joyful seasons, as well to trust him during the messy and painful seasons of life, knowing that he is with us. I have experienced this personally and some of my prayer paintings have come from the hardest times in my life where pictures could express what words could not.

Working on these prayer paintings help me focus on God and who HE says I am. Painting helps me to shift my focus back to see situations from his perspective as I remember that he is faithful, he is trustworthy, he is in control, he has a plan and a purpose for each of us and he is working all things for the good of those who love him.

My hope is that God will encourage you and remind you of his truth and love for you through these paintings.
