A relative going through health challenges, shared with me that God had given him a picture of a walking stick and told him to lean on him when he felt overwhelmed.
When I was praying for him and how I would paint and represent his image in a way that was meaningful and bring encouragement and hope, this came to mind... the walking stick is a collage of verses from the Bible and I was given the image of the shadow as a reminder and an encouragement that when we lean on God’s Word - no matter what our circumstances are like, we can experience his power and peace in our lives.
Romans 8:11 ‘The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you.’
Philippians 4 vs 7 'And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.'
